About Grants Pass

Grants Pass was originally named after General Ulysses S. Grant for his success at Vicksburg.  Early trappers began passing through this area in the early 1820’s following the Applegate Trail on their way to Willamette Valley.

Grant’s Pass is a great place to spend time outside and it is home to many natural attractions.  Many travel up Interstate 5 to enjoy the Rogue River which is widely recognized for its rafting as well as to explore the Oregon Caves National Monument located south of the city.  Boatnik and a Carnival event held in Riverside Park are annual events that bring a lot of visitors to the community.  Grants Pass is also home to Dutch Bros, Coffee., a multi-million dollar national franchise that started as a single push cart.
